The Fountain City Mardi Gras Association is a local non-profit organization located in the beautiful city of Columbus, Georgia. Our goal is to improve the greater Columbus area by providing scholarship opportunities through Mardi Gras activities. The organization was founded in 2017 by a caring and dedicated group of entrepreneurs and business owners who believe in enhancing the community members’

enjoyment of the vicinity, as well as attracting tourism to increase the ability to fund important advancements and educational opportunities needed within the city limits. The mission the Fountain City Mardi Gras Association strives for is to help provide educational scholarships to participating organizations using Mardi Gras related activities, such as our Caribbean festival, and parades. Fountain City Mardi Gras Association plan to host several annual events throughout the year to promote local businesses and help fund very deserving organizations with their dream of educational achievement and learning. Our Mardi Gras Festival and other supporting events take place during Carnival season and all are welcome to participate. We pride ourselves on bringing something new and different to the Columbus area, as well as fun weekend trips to nearby special events. Our out-of-town excursions include all Mardi Gras activities, concert festivals, and sporting events to include parades, giveaways and shopping. The trips typically includes round trip travel and lodging and rounds out with a souvenir tour to take home of your unforgettable time with us.

The festivities begin with the Fountain City Mardi Gras Ball and Bourbon Street Pop Up Market on Saturday, January 23, 2027.

The Fountain City Mardi Gras Association is proud to join the 2026 Columbus Lions Championship Parade as our city celebrates an incredible season and the AAL Champions!

We invite our members, supporters, and the entire community to line the streets of Downtown Columbus and help us congratulate the hometown champions.
