“Farmers Market” has been a summer-long project for Lisa Parks Godfrey. Painted in the French tradition of trompe-l’œil—literally, “deceive the eye”—the technique uses careful detail, light, and shadow to make a flat surface appear convincingly three-dimensional.

A joyful celebration of summer’s color and abundance, Farmers Market is filled with all the wonderful things we love to bring home from the market.
