It is with a very heavy heart, that I come bearing sad news. Julie Edwards Whittaker, my friend and my coworker off and on for the last decade at Cap City Tattoo Co, passed away yesterday Sunday the 25th. The whole Cap City family are gutted by this. The fact, that just a month ago she was in the shop laughing and tattooing and now she is gone, it will leave a massive hole in our hearts. Her sister Jen asks that in lieu of flowers at this time, you make a donation to an animal rescue or shelter. They will announce when they have a date in the spring, for a celebration of life. If you were working with Julie on a piece in progress, please come see us when it feels right to you. If you've ever been tattooed by Julie, I encourage you to share a pic below or on our Cap city FB page. Rest in Power Julie.

First off, I'd like to welcome Mike Kerin to Cap City Tattoo Co. Mike has decades of experience and is back in the Columbus area for all your tattoo needs. With that, we are for the foreseeable future open Tuesday and Wednesdays noon-7pm for walk ins. Stop in and meet Mike.. get a nice lil tattoo. Check out https://www.herbertcoopergallery.com/store to help out a couple worthy causes. The Pet Portrait Raffle ends this coming Tuesday April 30th at 6pm. Time to get your tickets to win a custom 16x20" pet portrait of your favorite pet done by Alli MacGregor, valued at $300. All proceeds go to Humane Society of Delaware County. You can also purchase paintings done by the dogs and cats of HSDC. Keep looking, the art of Douglas Cuckler and the Youth of Star House will be up in the store by the end of the weekend and you can help that worthy cause as well. Both charities take monetary donations directly thru their websites if you want to help out that way as well.
