Southeast Trombone Symposium

Southeast Trombone Symposium The Southeast Trombone Symposium is a week-long inspirational event for trombonists. It is held annually at Columbus State University Shires trombones.

The Southeast Trombone Symposium started in 2010 and has grown into one of the finest annual trombone events in the world. Participants work closely with world-class faculty, and can compete for new S.E. Visit the STS website for more details.

Halfway through and things are rolling right along!! Here’s your Thursday Highlight reel:

1.) Hillary Simms Music Ran our Youth Camp’s Warmup Class

2.) Bill Thomas taught another stellar masterclass

3.) We blew through our second Section Sit-In

4.) Jim Nova taught yet another force-ful masterclass

5-6.) Our participant choirs continued rehearsals for our final concert

1.) Opening Meeting and Faculty Introductions
2.) Our Youth Competition Finalists: Gus Vincent, Will Hayes, Julia Antmann, Landon Layman, Daniel Munnisi, and Reece Mirkes
3.) Our Bass Trombone Solo Competition Finalists: Flynn Magaw, Gibson Purser, Aiden Jay, Jamie Butler Jr., and Grant Erie
4.) The CSU Trombone Ensembles choir kicked things off with a phenomenal concert, featuring solos from our very own Christopher Bassett and Evan Williams
