Many of your favorite Déjà Vu artists will take part in the upcoming Indiana Artisan Marketplace held in late March in Indianapolis. Learn more about this outstanding event here.

Sip, Shop, Savor Indiana’s Best
March 28-29, Indiana State Fairgrounds, Indianapolis

Make plans to attend the event where creative craftsmanship and community come together.

It will happen at the 14th annual Indiana Artisan Marketplace, March 28-29 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. You’ll discover art and fine craft there as you sample and enjoy food and beverage — all made in Indiana, all designated the best of Hoosier craftsmanship.

This is the show that opens Indiana’s wonderful art fair season. The Marketplace is the place to find everything from hand-smithed jewelry to handmade chocolates, fine watercolors to striking wood art, functional pottery to exceptional wines. It is the destination to find something for your good taste or something that tastes good. This year’s show will celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday with specially made Americana-inspired creations.

The Indiana Artisan Marketplace provides an opportunity to buy one-of-a-kind artwork and artisan foods directly from the Hoosiers who make it. Nearly 100 creatives from all regions of Indiana will meet shoppers from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, March 28 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, March 29. All will explain how their work is crafted, and many will demonstrate their creative process. Food and beverage artisans will offer samples.

The 2nd edition of “100 Things to do in Indianapolis Before You Die” by Ashley Petry lists the Marketplace as a must-do event, calling it the place to buy “unique artwork, pretty paper goods, eye-catching jewelry, crave-worthy food products, and the state’s spirits and wines. … Come prepared to splurge on a one-of-a-kind piece that you’ll treasure for a lifetime.”

The Marketplace is in the Agriculture Horticulture Building at the State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St, Indianapolis. Show admission is $10 per person, 14 and younger are free. The Fairgrounds charges $10 for parking.

Work that carries the Indiana Artisan seal has gone through a rigorous evaluation process. It is the state’s moniker for identifying and recognizing the best of Hoosier craftsmanship. More than 230 artisans creating in 58 counties currently have art, food or beverage that has met the high standards. Each is an entrepreneur; many hail from some of the state’s smallest communities. It isn’t often that many of them come together in one location.

The highly respected Indiana Artisan brand includes painters, potters, woodworkers, bakers, snack makers, weavers, glass artists, photographers, wineries, distilleries, paper and mixed media artists, leatherworkers, and more. Find more information about the Marketplace, a list of participating exhibitors, and links to buy tickets or volunteer, visit https://indianaartisan.org/marketplace/.
