CALLING ALL YOUNG CREATIVES IN COLUMBUS !!!

Applications are NOW OPEN for the 2026 ARtsway Summer Youth Mural Program — a paid, hands-on summer mentorship experience for high school students interested in art, design, technology, and creative careers!

From July 6–24, students will collaborate with professional artists and mentors to:

• Design and create their own mobile murals
• Work together on a large-scale community mural
• Explore creative technologies + augmented reality
• Build leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Learn how artists can sustainably get paid for their work — while getting paid themselves!

ARtsway is more than an arts program; this is a space where young people can discover their creative voice, connect with their community, and explore future career pathways in Columbus’ growing creative sector.

📍 Two Columbus locations available
🗓️ July 6–24, Monday–Friday
⏰ 10 AM–2 PM
🎓 Open to Columbus-area high school students

This opportunity is especially meaningful for students looking for more access to arts education, mentorship, and creative experiences in a supportive community environment.

Shannon is a Chromedge artist and founder of - She joined us for her first Scrawl and ABSOLUTELY killed it! Jen is a local muralist and artist who is known for her signature style - She joined us again this Fall and made yet another crowd favorite! Joe is a muralist based here in Cbus who got to make his first Scrawl piece this past September! Jaylen is an emerging artist in our creative community who has been really honing his craft after graduating out of our youth mural program, ARtsway! Jordan got to join us for the first time last Scrawl and we were so blown away - Be sure to check out his recent works! Sara is a local acrylic artist here in FAD, and you can find her work in all your favorite places in Cbus like and !

Panagiota is a local muralist and artist who joined us again for an awesome Scrawl producing a wonderful piece in her signature style! Danny is a local artist who also has his own undeniable style and is a hard earned Scrawl veteran - Always happy to have him! Joel joined us for his second Scrawl and is an illustrator and designer who always knocks it out of the park! Zac has his street art allll over the greater Cbus area and is always stepping out with great work with our friends ! Andrew is an absolute FAD legend and you may know him as the guy that made the Slingshot installation down here in the District - Always insane work, dude!

Maya is local muralist and produces fine art - Be sure to catch her exhibition opening at this Franklinton Friday, May 8th! Marcos was a Scrawl first-timer this past year, and you can find his iconic street art all around Cbus! Chris is a Scrawl veteran who always delivers amazing pieces that are a crowd favorite! Jeremy and Lisa teamed up this year to produce their absolutely killer piece! Ajax is a local muralist and has been producing some fantastic merch that we hope you find via Instagram and get ya some!

Nico has participated in our youth mural program, ARtsway, over the past few years and has been evolving his artwork to be stunner! The Groovy Girls are local muralists who joined us once again this past Scrawl for an insane joint piece! Paul is a 409 Square tattoo artist and large-scale muralist - You can find his latest mural on Secret Studio on Walnut St! Madison joins us again this past Scrawl for an amazing piece that educates the community on endangered animals! Sophia is a local artist who has been doing amazing work here and spent her Summer in France! Lauren is another 400 Square artist who is always out in the community, beautifying the neighborhood with her art!

Angela is a local 400 Square artist who joined us for her second Scrawl to carve out 70 layers of paint for her piece! Austin and Seth are both locals in the District as well and made this killer team piece. You can catch Austin at live painting and Seth’s newest mural up in Clintonville! Jacome is also a local muralist who is killing it locally and got to join us this Fall to make an absolute stunner! Haadia is a recent graduate of our ARtsway summer youth mural program and is stepping out into the world as a local muralist and civic activist in the built environment!

Get to know Kyle Knapp, Abby Elise Oravec, Chris Cropper, Sarah Summers, and Kamar Kent!

Kyle is a local illustrator, digital designer, and artist here in Cbus and we’re always elated to have him part of the fun! Abby joined us for her second Scrawl just before jetting off to Provence for an art residency! Chris is a longtime Scrawl artist who has his iconic art all over the city of Cbus - We always love to have him join us! Sarah joined us for her first official Scrawl after being in Scribble at a few years back! Kamar joined us for his first time as well, starting big and knocking it out of the park!

Get to know Stacie Joy, Juan Daza, and Rob Jones!

Stacie joined us for the first time this past Scrawl and absolutely knocked it out of the park with her first large scale piece! Juan is a local muralist who you’ve probably seen at Columbus Crew games and all throughout the city. You can catch two of his murals around the District! Rob is a longtime Scrawl artist who has guest instructed during our youth mural program, ARtsway, and we were super stoked to have him return last Fall for Scrawl19!
