At the Academy, the subjects we teach naturally provide an opportunity for students to develop soft skills necessary for life. The Springer Theatre Academy is one of America's largest youth theatre training conservatories for students ages 5-18. With over 750 students studying year-round and another 15,000 children participating in the ArtServe outreach program, the Springer is transforming our co

mmunity with its innovative Character Education system teaching "Life Skills Through Stage Skills." The Springer Children's Theatre prepares Theatre Academy students to perform and learn alongside many of America's best professional actors in a high-quality, fully-produced theatre series.

Our B students have been challenged for 3 weeks with a longer Academy experience that dives deeper into each of our 6 subjects. Today we get to celebrate their class with a special B Presentation in the afternoon!

June B Session Presentation starts today at 2:30 on the Springer Mainstage, and July Session B Presentation will take place later this summer on July 24 at the same time– but a whole new group of students! Here at the Academy, we’re continuing to support one of our most important scene partners- the community- by collecting donations for a Service Project! This D Session, our community partner is Hope Harbour, a lifeline for victims of family violence.

Hope Harbour provides emergency shelter, safety, crisis intervention, and advocacy for adults and children who are victims and survivors of domestic violence. Some of Hope Harbour’s values include showing respect & value to one another, empowering relationships, and providing a safe haven for ALL. Sounds familiar, right?

The final day for D session students to donate is June 24. Don’t wait, donate!

Happy Presentation Day!! It’s the first big presentation day of the Summer for all Tykes, Juniors, Middles and Main Program Students! If you’re looking to support a student in the C session, we hope you’ll make time to join them at one of the times listed.

Presentations for Main and Middles students should last around one hour, while Tykes and Juniors are only 30 minutes. We can’t show you everything, because that’ll take TWO WEEKS! See you soon, and we hope you'll stick around for D session starting next week.
