Meet Taylor!!!

Taylor has lived in many different places but has always had dance in her life despite the location. Since the age of 3, she’s danced ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern and more at several studios. After traditional studio and competition dancing, she committed to the high school dance team and served as a captain the year they advanced to the state competition! Thinking that 15 years in the studio would be the end, she found Dance Connection at Ohio state her sophomore year in college and continued to dance in the student-led group until graduation in 2020. She graduated with a communication degree and now works at Battelle in the Talent and Strategy team!

Meet Joanna!!!!

Joanna has been dancing for over 18 years. Her training started at Generations Performing Arts Center in Westerville, Ohio where she trained in ballet, jazz, acrobatics, contemporary and tap. She danced competitively throughout high school and had the opportunity to participate in multiple performances a year around the community. Joanna then went on to attend Miami University where she joined Miami University Dance Theatre, a student-led performance dance company. Dance Theatre focused on contemporary work but also introduced Joanna to modern training. During her time with Dance Theatre, Joanna performed in company concerts each semester where she had the opportunity to work with student choreographers, professional guest choreographers and even had the opportunity to choreograph five of her own works throughout her time with the company. In addition to performing an end of the semester concert each year, Joanna had the opportunity to attend the American College Dance Association’s East-Central Dance Conference three times. This afforded her the opportunity to take class in a range of styles and perform in adjudicated and informal concerts. In the spring of 2020, Joanna’s piece “Age Of Envy” was selected for the informal concert!
