More than just not being cast in something, have you ever chosen to step away from performing for a time? Breaks can be highly beneficial when done with purpose. Time spent not rehearsing can allow us to rest from a hectic schedule, opening us up to take classes, or experience new things. Life experience is one of the greatest resources for a Theatre artist, however so often we're too busy to try something new. Have you taken a break before? How did that experience change your art?

Working in theatre can often feel like feast or famine, especially if you're trying to make some income. Booking back to back shows can give a semblance of security, however burn out is real. How do you find a balance between constant work and taking time to rest and grow?
