Ursula Scheuer (b. 1992, Cloquet, MN) creates artwork within an evolving, spiritual philosophy that is informed by nature, breath, and identity. The elevator at the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center is currently out of service. We work to find a solution as quickly as possible. For the time being, the stairs are the only way to reach many of our studio classes. We will share more updates as we learn more.

We have packed this month with extraordinary offerings like a FREE community studio day with the Wexner Center for the Arts! An outdoor painting workshop at Schiller Park! We are proud to announce our next two Artists-in-Residence at the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center!

Our jurors combed through many talented, qualified, and impressive artists before deciding on two individuals whose work and mission stood out.

Please join us in welcoming Ursula Scheuer (Ursula Scheuer) and Arris Cohen (Arris' J. Cohen) to the CAC Artist-in-Residency family.

Ursula will be with us from September - December, 2026

While Arris will join us from February - June, 2027

Each artist brings a community-focused vision to their residency and an undoubtedly unique perspective from their art-making capabilities. We are excited and grateful to welcome these two deserving artists time, space, and resources to realize their vision and help us further ours.

You’re invited to a FREE Community Pop-Up Studio on Sunday, September 27 from 1-3pm.

In collaboration with the Wexner Center for the Arts, this complimentary event is open to participants of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. No experience is necessary.

Experience a taste of what the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center has to offer. Learn from professional artists. Take home what you create. Make art. Have fun.
