I have been trying to find the words to post this but there are none. So some of these are mine but a lot is what my amazing cousin wrote more eloquently than I’m able to right now.

Please know that every message, prayer, and expression of love has been wholeheartedly received. From donations to meal support to phone calls and texts just checking in, thank you 🫶🏾

“There are three days between the crucifixion and the resurrection of our Savior. The silence and grief during those days had to be palpable. Yet, we do not often make space and gather to acknowledge those three days the same way we do Good Friday and resurrection Sunday…

What would it look like to give space to our grief? To ourselves and to others. What would it look like to acknowledge not just the three days between crucifixion and resurrection, but our own natural sentiments regarding the losses in our lives?”

We’re finally leaving the Capitol but both chambers have passed some horrendous bills today during Crossover Day.
Including HB 947 restricting SNAP, HB 880 to eliminate the state income tax, and SB 499 to repeal the prohibition of silencers…

Each must pass in the other chamber but wow…what a day.

What an incredible book launch event for our dear sister Tayari A. Jones new book Kin. My sis Eriqah and I talked about how amazing it was the whole way home.
It’s always good to spend time with sisters, but to be In the midst of the love between the reception and the theatre, full of sisters, students, and admirers of her work, incredible. The conversation between Tayari and the legend herself Pearl Cleage was…my word, so many nuggets of wisdom (and laughter). I cannot wait to dig into this work.

I’m not surprised that the tariffs this administration tried to impose under IEEPA were struck down. That hearing did NOT go well for them and the majority of the court seemed skeptical of their reasoning for the tariffs.

Now the question becomes, what happens to the trigger lawsuits waiting in the wings from companies like Costco who want their money back from paying these tariffs…

Georgia, this is intended to jail and fine protestors. We’ve shut down freeways and streets in this city.
They criminalized us bailing out more than 3 people if we aren’t licensed bailbonds persons as well.
It’s intentional. Idc. We’ll do it again.

Republican-backed House Bill 1076 would impose minimum one-year jail sentence for vehicle-related obstruction.

There are quite literally no grounds for this. I'm not a lawyer; I just do policy.
But there are LITERALLY no grounds for the FBI ERT, which handles high-profile major crimes cases like 9/11, to be taking anything out of the Fulton County Elections office. None.
