Today I was lucky to have the opportunity to participate in a "discovery day" with Savannah! She came to my office to learn more about what I do. We had some yummy french toast for breakfast, lots of laughs and a lively conversation about my cats and a gingerbread man. That convo turned into a sketch and then into an amazing illustration. She really picked up the Photoshop/ Illustrator tools quickly.

I was so happy when my sister-in-law shared this TED Talk with me. It's all about joy, where it hides and how to find it! The speaker, Ingrid Fetell Lee, does an excellent job of explaining joy on a deeper level and offering tangible design examples that we can incorporate into our daily lives and on a bigger scale throughout society.
