With each purchase, you will be directly supporting the featured woman; helping her to reach her fundraising goal, whether it is to expand her own small business or pay for her children’s education. Additionally, proceeds from each purchase will support local non-profits that work to fight malnutrition within each country. Kulishana strives to provide underprivileged communities with the opportunity and recognition to thrive, but our goals span even further. In Swahili, Kulishana means “feed one another” and highlights our true mission: to use food as a means of bringing nations and peoples together in a mutually beneficial way. While we in the United States can help feed those in need through financial support and nutritional interventions, we can be fed in return by humbly accepting the beauty and strength of nations often seen as weak and broken.
