Making plans to add an elevator to the old barn loft for some summer time gathering! More to follow! Winter time song singing right now. Best, JDM

The Clodhoppers will be sharing original Americana songs in a few weeks at the first Barn Stomp Concert of 2021 on Saturday, June 26th, at the Barn Loft, 1906. Doors will open at 7:30, music from 8:30 to 10:30, all ages welcome, $10 per person donation suggested, kids free if mostly tame. An evening for conversation and sitting around an old barn listening to acoustic music in southern Indiana. Located at 4500 W. 300 S. in Columbus.

Sinking, Words and Music by Jerry D. MaulinThis song came from a dream and whispered like a ghost from beyond searching for a voice to tell the tale.

Getting ready to go for the first musical gathering of 2021 on June 26th with The Clodhoppers at 8:30. Doors open at 7:30. Bring drinks and whatever else you wish. All ages welcome! Suggested donation of $10 a person. Kids free if tame.

I'm also very happy to welcome Jackson Grimm and his band for a cd release concert coming in August. As a former student and an accomplished songwiter and musician, this will be a great all the way around. Looking forward to a fun summer of community and music. More to follow!

Hanna and I wish to sincerely thank everyone that has come out and supported our musical experiment this year! We have decided to wrap up the season on a high note of our gathering in September. Special thanks to Coot Crabtree, The Clodhoppers, The Stone Cold Dog, Famous October, and Tim and Jackson Grimm for sharing their musical talents with all of us. Lovely nights! At this time, we are going to evaluate and consider future plans for the old barn loft. Perhaps we will add a bathroom? Maybe a loft in the loft? Maybe an elevator for horses? Check back here for plans and future offerings. Thanks again so much for supporting the music and the dream.
Peace, Jerry

The Barn Loft, 1906...she's 110 years old and still standing. After four big years of ongoing renovation, these four photos posted below tell a tale. And this Friday is your chance to join in the continuing journey. From 7:30 to 10, settle down into a comfy seat and step back from the bustle, the hustle, the hubbub, the doggone fickle turbulent winds of daily noise and simply be of the moment with the music of Famous October up in an old barn loft. Then we'll finish the evening under the August stars with a bonfire dancing in the dark. We're suggesting $15 a person donated to support these fine couple of Swiss musicians in their musical quest across America. Bring refreshments as you wish. Kids free. We're at 4500 W. 300 S. Columbus, IN 47201. Look for the big barn with the mammoth sunflowers in front.
