To our incredible Parks community, please join us in welcoming Erin Hartwell, who has joined the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department as Fitness, Health, and Wellness Manager at NexusPark.

Erin is an accomplished Olympian, U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame Inductee, elite athletic coach, and former program administrator for multiple governing bodies of sport within the Olympic Movement. A three-time Olympic athlete and two-time Olympic medalist with Team USA, Erin brings a wealth of sports and fitness management experience to NexusPark and the City of Columbus.

Considered a specialist in developing innovative sports-performance programs and projects from the ground up, Erin will be key in building upon the progressive sports and wellness initiatives taking root at the Department of Parks and Rec in Columbus.

After three decades of supporting the growth of sports and fitness worldwide, Erin has returned to Central Indiana to give back to the communities that helped pave the way for his earlier athletic success. A Sagamore of the Wabash and graduate of Southport High School in Indianapolis, Erin comes home to Indiana to be closer to family and strengthen his already deep ties to the Hoosier community.

Welcome to the team Erin, we are grateful that you chose us!
