As we celebrate this Thanksgiving weekend, I find myself filled with gratitude, and I want to express my heartfelt thanks to each of youā€”for your enthusiasm for Ballroom Dance and your unwavering support for the Ohio Star Ball.

Every year, I am deeply moved by the commitment and passion that each of you contributes to the art of Ballroom Danceā€”and particularly to your steadfast loyalty to the Ohio Star Ball. This event thrives because of you, our incredible competitors, ranging from professionals to amateurs, along with their dedicated teachers, and the judges and scrutineers who offer their expertise with such thoughtfulness. Together, you embody the spirit and significance that make this event truly exceptional.

This year marks the 47th anniversary of Ohio Star Ball, and I want to highlight those who work diligently behind the scenes. Months before the first dancer steps onto the floor, our remarkable team is busy planning, organizing, and refining every detail to ensure that every aspect of this event unfolds seamlessly. While my name may be linked to the Ohio Star Ball, it is the hard work, commitment, and steadfast support of this team that creates a memorable experience for everyone who joins us.

We are excited to share that Jordan, a recipient of a 2025 One More Step Grant, won second place in the silver category during his performance at Ohio Star Ball Championships yesterday! He has achieved his goal and we couldn't be prouder of him.

His caregiver Colleen Buccieri shared with us: "I'm hoping those watching Jordan's journey gain confidence to get out there an accomplish their goal and not let epilepsy define them. We are grateful and hope we encourage others."
