Exciting things are happening right here in our community!
Several familiar faces from Golden Triangle Theatre are involved in a film production currently being directed by MSU Professor Marty Lang in Starkville. From Sara Wade, GTT's Marketing Director, to Greg Thorn, who has supported GTT through technical support and summer camps, to actors from our recent Adult Acting Class, it's exciting to see so many members of our theatre family taking part in this project.

Congratulations to everyone involved! We can't wait to see the finished film!

We are incredibly excited to welcome Roy Lightner to Golden Triangle Theatre for a special Master Class & Q&A Session on June 15th! This class is FREE & OPEN to the public!

Roy Lightner is an award-winning theatre creator, director, choreographer, and educator from Kansas City. He currently serves as the Artistic Director for the 2-time TONY award winning, Red Mountain Theatre. He is also a Tenured Professor of Musical Theatre at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to his current positions, Roy served as the Associate Artistic Director for the Transcendence Theatre Company in Sonoma, CA and also on the Musical Theatre Faculty of Ithaca College. Additionally, Roy has taught courses at Arizona State University and Cornell University. His work as a creator, director, and choreographer spans internationally, including productions and immersive events for Google, Lincoln Center, Red Mountain Theatre, the Stephen Sondheim Center, Transcendence Theatre Company, San Francisco City Hall, MTWichita, Music Theatre of Kansas City, GEVA Theatre, Cape Playhouse, Westin Playhouse, Depot Theatre, and more – totaling over 85 productions worldwide. Roy has performed in over 40 professional productions around the world. Recently, Roy received 5 National Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival awards for an original production, including Special Achievement in Directing and the Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Award in 2021. He was the recipient of the Dorothy Schwartz Outstanding Educator Award from the Alabama Conference of Theatre in 2021. He graduated from Oklahoma City University with a degree in Musical Theatre; and received his Master of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts with a Concentration in Performance Creation from Goddard College.

The Hundred Acre Wood didn’t know what was coming when this bunch arrived last weekend. 🍯💛
Bouncing through the forest, our cast brought so much heart, laughter, and imagination to the stage in Winnie-the-Pooh.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this sweet adventure with Golden Triangle Theatre. The woods may be quiet again… but the memories definitely aren’t.
