Aye everybody!

As most of y'all have heard by now, Tapp's Arts Center is having to move from our beautiful home in the Tapp's building on main street. I had the pleasure of talking to DJ with Extra Chill about some of the goings ons.

With that being said we still got some shows down in our beautifully hot basement home until then. Please read, share, and keep up with what we have left.

Hey everyone, it’s me, Zoë, the darkroom manager of The Space Hall. It is with immense sadness that as of today, we must stop accepting any darkroom orders. If you already have film with us waiting to be processed, no worries, it will still be processed. We will be taking a hiatus for an undetermined amount of time. With the arts center moving out of the beloved Tapps building, the darkroom must move out too. It is certainly not the end of The Space Hall Darkroom, just one of those big, painful hiccups. The Tapps family and Space Hall family will never stop trying to provide spaces and resources for all artists in our community. Stay tuned to see what happens next 🖤✨

There's a giddy realization that happens about halfway into the first verse of a Baby Yaga song, when Presley Randall effortlessly slides in and out of singing a perfect high note: Garage Punk is their stylistic choice, not a function of limitation. The meaning of this piece in particular must be spoken in mostly growls, but even then the bassline still kicks y'all. We're not hearing the punk production nihilism of our past
I'll speak personally -but it surprises me to see how common pedal boards and home recordings have become, for musicians across all genres. Granted, information about audio engineering is more available than ever. What changed? Has our collective taste evolved?
