🌟 Choreographer Spotlight: Autumn Eckman
Autumn has been hard at work in the Mareck Dance studios for the last 10 days creating her brand new work set to new music composed by David K. Isreal. Her stunning ballet will premiere this Fall at the Missouri Theatre as part of the University Concert Series.

Autumn Eckman, from Atlanta, GA, an Assistant Professor of Dance at Kennesaw State University. She received her formative training from the Houston Ballet Academy. Autumn had the privilege to dance with Giordano Dance Chicago where she also served as Assistant Artistic Director, Resident Choreographer and Director Giordano II, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Luna Negra Dance Theatre, Lucky Plush Productions, Ron De Jesus Dance, State Street Ballet and The Cambrians.
This premiere marks her fourth work for Mareck Dance. She holds an MFA in Choreography from the University of Iowa and is certified in the Giordano Jazz Dance Technique through the Nan Giordano Certification Program and in Level One of Revolutionary Principles of Movement. She is dedicated to sharing her experience of over 20 years of performing, choreographing and teaching and has served as master faculty for organizations including The Ballet Alliance Festival, Open Doors Dance Festival, Vitacca Vocational School for Dance, the Bates Dance Festival. She is a former Instructor at Northern Illinois University and Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona. Upon Autumn's return to Atlanta she served as inaugural faculty at the School of the Arts at Central Gwinnett High School for the 2021-2022 academic year.
