Choirs of Carolina alumni in London! 🇬🇧🤙

Current graduate students and alumni are traveling to London for a residency with Vox Anima London! How fitting that two USC conductors will take the podium? Dr. Peter Allen Haley (DMA ‘23) will conduct the first half of the program, and Dr. Alicia W. Walker, Director of Choral Studies, will conduct the second. In or around London this weekend? Meet us at Cadogan Hall on Sunday, 7 June at 6:30pm! Tickets can be purchased on the Vox Anima London website.

Also make plans to hear Limited Time Only at the Holy Sepulchre London on Monday, 8 June at 7:00pm! Dr. Walker leads this group in “Hold Fast” - with music by British and American composers, texts both secular and sacred give us space to celebrate, reflect, and ponder what we hold fast. Admission is free!

Yesterday was truly special. In an exchange concert with Choir 129, we performed at the breathtaking Peterskirche in Vienna. Our tour program includes Howells, Bach, Antognini, Mozart, and more, and it is a gift to perform in these historic spaces.

On our last day of tour, we will perform a short program at Stephenkirche at 12:45pm. Thank you for following along and supporting our travels!

📍St. Nicholas Church in Old Town, Prague

Feeling inspired after yesterday’s performance in the beautiful St. Nicholas Church. As our students said, “It is a gift to share our music with so many people.” 💐 We ended the day with a relaxing cruise down the Moldau River (yes, Smetana was played)!

Shoutout to all of our singers, soloists, conductor, and our collaborative pianist! We are especially glad to be joined by two USC School of Music voice faculty members, Dr. Serena Hill-LaRoche and Dr. Tina Stallard, for joining and singing with us on this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

🗺️ Next stop: Cesky Krumlov!
