Public art changes the way you move through a neighborhood.
Across the North Village Arts District, the North Village Art Walk invites you to slow down, look closer, and notice the creativity built into everyday places.
You’ll find metal forms that shift as you walk around them, murals shaped by mythology and memory, guitar-pick sculptures celebrating Columbia’s music culture, retired traffic boxes transformed into public artwork, and playful installations that bring color, history, and imagination into unexpected corners.
This collection includes works by Jessie Cargas, John Fennell, Tootie Burns, Shannon Webster, Laura Labieniec Pintel, New Adventures Sculpture, Craig Miles, Stewart “Shon” Parker, David Spear, John Botts, Vince Houston, Kate Gray, Madeleine LeMieux, Terry and Jo Malesky, Matt Moyer, and many local artists whose work helps define the creative spirit of the North Village Arts District.
From Simplicity outside the Balsamo Warehouse to Music Row along Rose Music Hall, Sparky the Raptor near Cafe Berlin and Acola, Taking Flight at Columbia College, and Pump on North 10th Street, each piece adds another layer to the story of this neighborhood.
Next time you’re in the North Village Arts District, take the walk. You may notice something you’ve passed a dozen times before.
