WHEN: Saturday, February 28th from 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM and March 1st from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
WHERE: Brookland United Methodist Church, 541 Meeting Street, West Columbia, SC 29169
Please prepare any Shakespeare monologue for the audition. If you do not have a monologue, we will have several available at the auditions.

📣 AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT 📣
THE SOUTH CAROLINA SHAKESPEARE COMPANY

The SCSC is pleased to announce the second production of its 2025 - 2026 season, William Shakespeare’s masterpiece, The Tempest.
Prospero, a betrayed duke and magician, is bent on justice and revenge. He summons his magical gifts into a devastating sea storm, which hurls the ship’s crew onto the island—among them his usurping brother. With supernatural islanders as unwilling agents of his scheme and the castaways spellbound, Prospero’s plot advances. Old scores must be settled; his daughter, Miranda, must find love.
But, as his vision unfolds, a different ending emerges—one of forgiveness, love, compassion, and redemption. This play is considered by many to be the Bard’s final play.

The Tempest will be directed by Linda Khoury

Audition Information

The Players of the South Carolina Shakespeare Company wish to announce our Spring Production of William Shakespeare's magnificent masterwork, THE TEMPEST!
This May, prepare to be swept away to an enchanted isle where magic, music, and destiny intertwine in one of the Bard's most celebrated and spellbinding tales. Hailed as Shakespeare's final masterpiece, The Tempest weaves an extraordinary tapestry of romance, redemption, and forgiveness that has captivated audiences for over four centuries.
Witness the powerful sorcerer Prospero command the very elements, young lovers discover their hearts' true calling, and spirits dance between the mortal and mystical realms. From tempestuous storms to tender reconciliations, this glorious play showcases Shakespeare at the height of his poetic powers.

The South Carolina Shakespeare Company wants to thank everyone who came to see our production of Shakespeare's creepy slasher play, Titus Andronicus! We hope our performance made the cut and the actors really slayed. You have to give a hand to Titus- he was captivating. And how about those video projections? They were disarming as well! We think you got the point. See y'all in the Spring!
