Molting Process of Eagles:
Flight feathers are replaced in small batches to avoid starvation during the process.
Symmetrically shedding the same feathers on either side in order to keep their balance while in flight.
Gradual process, it takes several weeks to see the restoration of the feathers.
Molting is a renewing process for the eagles to keep them young and agile so they can properly forage and hunt along with raising their young.
Just like eagles have a molting process the Lord has a process similar for us. As we grow in the Lord, he strips away the old, damaged parts of us and re-establishes the new parts. He strips us of our old ways of thinking and renews our mind soul and body. He never does it all at once he will take it step by step, one thing at a time until healed to a point of moving on. Never too much so that we are still able to perform our duties and tend to our callings. Balancing our walk in life.
Today I want to encourage you to feel the renewing of the Lord. As he gradually strips the old you allow him to show you the new, he wants for you. continue walking forward and stay steadfast on him. His love and mercy will surely show in your season of growing. The molting process is important to the eagle for a longer life. Without proper shedding of the old, we hold the weight of the past on our shoulders and carry burdens we were never meant to carry. If an eagle does not shed their old feathers, it weighs them down and impedes their way of life just the same if we don't shed the old it will impede our callings and our walk with the Lord.
Dear Lord,
We thank you for your revelation. Thank you for the shedding. Thank you for your divine restoration. Thank you for loving us by showing us mercy and renewing us.
Today I ask that you show us the feathers you would like us to shed. show us the areas in our lives you would have us remove. We ask that you soften our hearts to be open to the revelation and restoration you want for our lives. Thank you, Lord, that you walk at our pace, and we do not have to run to keep up with you. thank you for the gentle pulling and tugging at our hearts.
I pray this in the might name of Jesus Amen.
