One of the most unique auction experiences available this year at A Toast to Tracy is a Progressive Art Tour featuring the homes and studios of Kate Gray, Jo Stealey, and Robin LaBrunerie.

This exclusive experience offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at where art is created and collected, while supporting the future of The Montminy Gallery.

A Toast to Tracy, our annual fundraiser for The Montminy Art Gallery, is this Saturday, June 20 from 2:00–4:00 PM.

Leave it to artists to turn a birthday card into a work of art.

For A Toast to Tracy, local artists have created one-of-a-kind birthday cards in honor of Tracy Montminy's legacy and the creative community she helped inspire.

Each card is an original work of art, generously donated to support The Montminy Gallery. Keep one as a special memento, add it to your collection, or give it to someone meaningful. Every bid supports local artists and helps sustain a gallery dedicated to fostering creativity, connection, and opportunity in our community.

Did you know The Montminy Art Gallery is a nonprofit?

While admission to the gallery is free, exhibitions, artist opportunities, educational programs, and community events are made possible through the support of people who believe in the power of art to enrich our community.

For years, The Montminy Gallery has provided a welcoming space where emerging and established artists can share their work, connect with audiences, and grow their creative practice. It's a place where art sparks conversation, inspires new perspectives, and brings people together.

That mission reflects the vision of Tracy Montminy, the pioneering artist and educator whose name the gallery proudly carries.

Tea Time is officially open! Here's a behind-the-scenes look at the exhibit going up!

Explore a whimsical exhibition inspired by the global tea cozy collection of Ann LaBrunerie and featuring original works by more than 30 regional artists.

The exhibition is on view through August 8 in the Montminy Gallery.

What can a tea cozy inspire?

For "Tea Time", curators Robin LaBrunerie and Jo Stealey invited artists from across Mid-Missouri to explore a remarkable collection of tea cozies and create original works in response.

The exhibition features interpretations in clay, fiber, wood, metal, painting, photography, and mixed media, proving that inspiration can come from the most unexpected places.

"Tea Time" began with a collection.

For years, Columbia art enthusiast Ann LaBrunerie gathered tea cozies from around the world, finding beauty in the everyday objects that bring people together. Her collection includes pieces from Pakistan, India, Iran, China, England, and beyond, each reflecting unique traditions, craftsmanship, and cultural stories.

Local artists were invited to respond to that collection in their own way. The result is "Tea Time", a creative conversation that spans continents, generations, and artistic mediums.

Tea Time opens June 10 and remains on view through August 8.

Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, June 11 at The Montminy Gallery inside the Boone County History & Culture Center.
