Twenty years ago, the Teelin family lost a beautiful dancer, friend, and daughter, Amy Martin.

Amy was a talented Irish dancer whose dedication, kindness, gentle spirit, and bright smile left a lasting impression on the Teelin community. Though two decades have passed, the memories of Amy and the love shared by her family, friends, teachers, and fellow dancers remain a meaningful part of Teelin’s history.

Amy was only 15 years old when she and her father, Doug, tragically passed away on September 14, 2006 after having been caught in a riptide. The outpouring of love and support from the Teelin and greater Irish dance communities in the days that followed was a beautiful reminder of the special bonds that dance creates.

“Dance then, wherever you may be…” ❤️

We invite you to visit Amy’s memorial page, which remains on the Teelin website as a lasting tribute to her memory.
