I’ve been in a serious creative funk lately. I want to paint but can’t bring myself to touch the paint to the canvas. I think I narrowed it down to the fear of failure/disappointment going hand in hand with my feeling of if it won’t be perfect I can’t waste money on supplies to make it. I know my art is not a failure. No art is. And I tell myself this daily but as a kid who felt like anything less than an A in school was failing and anything less than perfect wasn’t good enough this letting go and seeing what happens thing is really hard.
Today I was able to jump the hurdle for a bit and I present to you a cat in a tutu. I can’t look at it without laughing so I’m calling it a success. Happy Monday everyone ❤️

I hope that everyone had a good weekend! My husbands car got hit so ours was definitely not what we had planned. Thankfully it was parked and he wasn’t in it. To spice it up even more, the woman who hit him gave her insurance info and was cooperative but left him there to wait for police so she could go pick up her sandwich 🤦🏽‍♀️

The moral of my story guys is to remind you to never be on your phone while you are driving and always use your mirrors (or backup camera). And most important of all..your sandwiches can wait 🤪
