Also, a deep thanks to W. Scott Lewis for all his help with these bands and allowing me to bum some other parts since everything I need is still in transit.

I've been working on the newest batch of Butler Pens and incorporating a cap band. I decided to go with a classic black this time, its just timeless. Same great knurled grip and Bock nibs.

This is the plain version, striped, diamond, and Nashville caps are all still in production.

This was a re-release of the vintage 101N from the 1930's so you get vintage charm with modern materials and reliability, but still a gold nib.

Available in-store (online soon) for $450

it lives to write another day.

Quite smooth and surprisingly fine for a German nib honestly. Bent tine and a twisted tip made for an interesting repair, had to go slow with it as its very easy to take the gold too far, 18k is quite soft, and once it goes too far its hard to get it back. But its writing, flowing, and a nice amount of bounce that give some variation in line width and ink flow.
