🔥 Pioneer Camp: Survival Skills
Ages 12–16 | June 22–26 | 9:00 AM–3:00 PM

New for 2026 and built different.

This is a mentor-led week of real-world skill building at a working farm. Your teen will spend five days doing actual hands-on work, not sitting around, not just watching, and not playing pretend survival games.

They’ll build, problem-solve, get dirty, learn useful skills, and walk away with more confidence than they came in with.

Here’s what the week covers:

Fire building and fire safety
Land navigation and map reading
First aid basics
Knife safety and tool handling
Hand tools and supervised power tool use
Real construction projects on the farm
Daily hands-on farm work with the rescue animals at Hidden Bee Farm

This program is led by an experienced Scoutmaster and a commissioned U.S. Army officer. These are mentors who know how to push young people to grow, think, work hard, and laugh while they’re doing it.

Expect mud. Expect sweat. Expect your teen to come home with real confidence.

Not quite ready for Pioneers? We have something for every age! From Little Explorers (ages 3–5) to Pathfinders, Trailblazers, and Pioneers (ages 12–16), our summer camps are grouped by age to create the best experience possible with activities designed specifically for each stage.

Hidden Bee Learning Summer Camp at Hidden Bee Farm

Summer camp fills quickly every year, and this year is no different. Several of our groups are already waitlist only, but we always encourage families to reach out. Waitlist spots can open, and we are happy to help you figure out what may still be available for your child.

Little Explorers, Pathfinders, and Trailblazers will all be running this summer, and we are especially excited to introduce Pioneers, our new group for older kids who are ready for more.

Pioneers is built for kids who want a camp experience that feels real. They will take part in hands-on farm work, animal care, land navigation, projects, tools, teamwork, and the kind of responsibility older kids are usually ready for but do not always get.

If your child has outgrown “little kid camp” but still wants adventure, mud, animals, and a good challenge, Pioneers may be the right fit.

New at Hidden Bee Learning: Trailblazers Club

Something new is coming this fall, and we are really excited to finally share it.

Introducing Trailblazers Club, a Wednesday afternoon club for kids ages 8 to 12, running August through December.

This is not a regular class. It is not a co-op. This is real hands-on fun where kids build, solve, create, and connect with others their age.

Different blocks will be led by different teachers, each bringing their own strengths and skills to the experience.

Here is what the semester looks like:

🌟 August: Trailblazer Bootcamp
A relaxed, fun start to the semester. We’ll play board games, build with LEGO, walk the farm, feed some animals, and spend time getting to know each other. The goal is simple: help kids feel comfortable, start working together, and build confidence from day one.

👽 September: Operation Last Stand
The aliens have landed. Now what?
Kids take on different roles and work as a team through changing scenarios to figure out how they would respond. With limited supplies and new challenges each week, they’ll build, strategize, problem-solve, and adapt together. It’s creative, fast-paced, and a ton of fun.

🔍 October: Cold Case Detectives
These are real cold cases, carefully selected to be age-appropriate. Kids will dig into evidence, examine real clues, and work as a team to figure out what happened. This is one we are especially excited about.

🤖 November: Robotics and Engineering
Kids will build a motorized robot from scratch over three sessions and take it home at the end. A true hands-on build for kids who like to figure out how things work.

🎄 December: Holiday Maker Sessions
A fun and creative wrap-up. Kids will make meaningful gifts, ornaments, and projects they can take home and share.

Families may register for one block or all blocks.

Hidden Bee Learning is a hands-on enrichment program where kids build real skills through projects, play, movement, and outdoor learning on our farm. Early literacy, math, problem-solving, and kindergarten readiness are all woven into the day. There's a clear daily rhythm, warm teachers, and a whole lot of learning that does not look like sitting at a desk.

Hidden Bee Learning Summer Camp at Hidden Bee Farm is for ages 3 to 16, with campers grouped by age so each group can stay active, involved, and fully part of the day.

Camp days are spent outdoors with creek time, water fun, animal experiences, hands-on projects, games, and themed adventures. It is the kind of summer camp fun kids still talk about later. Expect them to come home wet, tired, and full of stories.

A big new part of camp this year is our 12 to 16 age group, a mentor-guided, hands-on experience for older kids who are ready for more adventure, more responsibility, and a camp experience that feels built for them.
