Keep showing up & talking loudly, friends.

We can't wait to feature the powerful voices of more COMO women at the fifth anniversary That's What She Said Columbia on Saturday, April 10th, 2027. Save the date to join us in community as we raise women's voices another year.

TWSS COMO Producer/Director, Allie Teagarden, often comes across articles to share on our page, but sometimes they get buried in her email inbox (for like, three years, just as an example 😆). Given two of our speakers this year spoke about learning to love and accept their bodies, we thought it was perfect timing to share this.

"No matter your age or weight, if you’re a woman living on this planet, chances are you’ve let similar sneaky self-critical body thoughts creep in and steal your joy. In fact, a whopping 91% of women admit to hating their appearance.

But there is another thing we women have in common: the ability to shut down that nasty inner voice, to learn to appreciate our body in all its glory and to restore our confidence—even during bathing suit season."

If you've ever stood in front of the mirror and thought 'I hate my body', you're not alone. How to turn your inner critic into a cheerleader.
