Studio tours are always fun. It's like getting to peek inside the part of an artist's brain that hasn't been cleaned up for company. Paint everywhere, works in progress, and at least one thing balanced in a way that defies physics.
What a wonderful afternoon! Our guild members enjoyed a studio tour with artist **Ryan Birkland**, who introduced us to the fascinating art of reverse painting on glass. Watching him explain how each painting is built from the front layer backward gave us a whole new appreciation for the planning and craftsmanship behind his work.
Thank you, Ryan, for your hospitality and for sharing your studio, your artwork, and your creative process with us. We left inspired—and probably all wondering if we should try painting on glass ourselves. (Some of us should probably stick to admiring it. The glass has suffered enough.)
