Tonight’s the night!

Join me at the Huntington Arts Center for the opening of my Breaking the silence collection from 6-7pm.

There will be handmade cookies lovingly crafted by my friend, Christie. A few finger foods courtesy of rhe gallery Some freebies to take home with you - my way of saying thank you for all of your support in and out of the studio.

On another note, June is almost over which means our group classes will be on break for the next few months. There are still a few classes on the schedule if you need to get your art on before the Spring courses end…or join me in the summer months for a private session.

🧶 Crochet Class 1.5 – Market Bag

June 27th | 10 AM – 12 PM

Ready for the next step after beginner crochet?

In Crochet 1.5, we’ll be creating this lightweight market bag while continuing to build confidence with stitches, pattern repetition, tension, and project construction.

This class is perfect for those who already know the basics and are ready to move into a fun, functional project with guidance along the way.

✨ Great for:
• beginners who have completed an intro class
• crocheters wanting more practice
• those looking for a relaxing creative outlet
• anyone who loves handmade, practical pieces

There’s something incredibly satisfying about turning yarn into something both beautiful and useful.

And honestly?
Crochet has a way of slowing the mind down in the best possible way.

🧶 Suitable for advancing beginners.
Ages 12 and older.

🦉 Therapeutic Art Thursday

Creating a Safe Corner

Create a small section on your page that feels calming, comforting, or emotionally safe to you.

It might include soft colors, repeated patterns, meaningful words, nature imagery, gentle textures, or symbols connected to peace.

Focus less on making “good art” and more on creating a visual space your nervous system responds positively to.

You are allowed to create places — even symbolic ones — where your body can soften.

Art Tip:
Predictable creative routines and calming visual elements can help regulate the nervous system by increasing feelings of safety, familiarity, and control.

🌙 Wellness Wednesday

Burnout Doesn’t Always Look Like Stopping

Sometimes burnout looks like continuing anyway.

Creating while disconnected.
Working without joy.
Feeling mentally exhausted by things you once loved.

Burnout often whispers before it screams.

It shows up as irritability.
Brain fog.
Difficulty focusing.
Resentment toward things that once brought meaning.

You are allowed to notice the signs before you completely fall apart.

Sometimes healing begins by listening earlier.

✨ What has your mind or body been trying to tell you lately?
