You don't have to fund an entire program to make a difference.

Community funding doesn't have to begin with one enormous check.

It can be a lot of people deciding that something is worth helping build.

$10.

$25.

$50.

A business contribution.

A sponsorship.

A community partnership.

A grant.

Each becomes another piece of something larger.

That's how I hope the Community Access Fund grows—not simply through one source of funding, but through a community of people and organizations who believe creative opportunities should be accessible to more people.

Create Inside the Lines

Draw a large shape on a piece of paper.

A circle.

A square.

An organic shape.

Anything you choose.

For the next ten minutes, create only inside that boundary.

Fill it with patterns, colors, words, lines, or images.

When the time is up, stop and look at what you created.

Did the boundary feel restrictive?

Safe?

Helpful?

Did you immediately want to break outside of it?

Simply notice your response.

Therapeutic Tip:
Healthy boundaries can provide structure, predictability, and a clearer understanding of what we have control over. Exploring boundaries through creativity gives us a low-pressure way to notice how we respond to limits—and to consider which boundaries in our lives help protect our time, energy, and well-being.

We tend to think change happens in a moment.

Before.

After.

Old.

New.

But most change happens somewhere in between.

There are periods when we're still letting go of what was while figuring out what comes next.

That space can feel uncomfortable.

It can also be where growth happens.

You don't have to have everything figured out today.

Give yourself permission to be somewhere in the middle.

Sometimes wellness means allowing yourself time to become.

Escape into the beauty of flowing watercolors in this relaxed, two-hour guided watercolor class at Artful Transformations Studio.

This class is designed to help you slow down, loosen up, and enjoy the process of painting — whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned artist looking for a gentle reset.

We’ll begin with a short, skill-building warm-up to get comfortable with brushes, color mixing, and basic watercolor techniques. From there, you’ll create two different 5×7 watercolor paintings:

one approachable and confidence-building
one with a bit more depth and detail

Plenty of practice paper is available, so there’s no pressure to “get it right.” You’ll have space to explore, experiment, and find your flow before moving on to your final pieces.

You’ll paint in the peaceful atmosphere of my cozy studio — often accompanied by the quiet presence of friendly farm animals like chickens, ducks, and goats. Complimentary coffee, tea, and water are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own snacks or drinks.

✨ All skill levels welcome
✨ Ages 12 and up
✨ All supplies included

The “Change One Thing” Tool

When a piece isn't working, our first instinct can be to keep adding.

More paint. More details. More texture.

Instead, try changing one thing.

Try this:

✨ Step several feet away from your work.
✨ Decide what feels unresolved.
✨ Choose just one element—color, value, shape, texture, placement, or contrast.
✨ Make one intentional change.
✨ Step away again before doing anything else.

Reflect on this:
Transitions don't always require starting over.

Sometimes one small adjustment changes the relationship between everything around it.

“In art there is only one thing that counts: the thing you can’t explain.”

Have you ever made something and had someone ask:

“What does it mean?”

And you just…don't quite know how to answer?

You know what it feels like.

You know why that color needed to be there. Why you kept that imperfect line. Why something felt finished—or why it absolutely didn't.

But explaining it? That's harder.

Not everything we experience through art needs to translate neatly into words.

Sometimes we respond before we understand why.

Sometimes we create from instinct rather than intention.

Sometimes a piece means something completely different to the person standing in front of it than it did to the person who made it.

Maybe that's part of the magic.

Art doesn't always need to be explained to be understood. ❤️

A little paint-pouring fun for the holidays! 🎄

Because there's nothing quite like taking a plain foam Christmas tree and absolutely covering it in layers of colorful paint. 😂

Pour it.

Tilt it.

Watch the colors run together.

Add a little more because apparently it needs it.

And then comes the hardest part of paint pouring…

Leaving it alone and letting the paint do what the paint wants to do.

Messy, colorful, unpredictable, and a whole lot of fun.

Just the way we like creativity around here. ❤️
