🎶 SingSouth Collective Update 🎶

After evaluating schedules surrounding Memorial Day weekend, I’ve made the decision to postpone the inaugural SingSouth Collective event to:

📅 Saturday, August 29

The response to this project has been extremely encouraging, but unfortunately the holiday weekend created more scheduling conflicts than anticipated for many potential participants.

Rather than force the timing, I really want to give this event the strongest possible launch and create the kind of musical experience Southwest Georgia deserves.

SingSouth Collective was always envisioned as something special: a high-energy, one-day choir experience bringing singers together from across the region for a day of rehearsal and a live performance that evening.

That vision remains fully intact - and I'm excited about what August will bring.

Registration for August is already live at jeffsmithmusic.net/singsouth. If you registered for May 23, that registration is still good for the new August date.

Thank you to everyone who has already supported and encouraged this project. I'm looking forward to building something powerful together!

For more than 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of making a living as a professional musician. Seventeen of those years were spent in Los Angeles, working in the heart of the entertainment industry—singing on sessions for film, TV, and commercials, providing background vocals for other artists, and touring the world with the vocal group M•PACT.

A few years ago, my family and I made the decision to leave Los Angeles and move to rural South Georgia. I knew it was the right choice for our family, but I also knew it would change my professional landscape. Without the constant stream of opportunities that come with living in California, my musical future felt uncertain.

What I’ve discovered since then has been incredibly encouraging:

• Music is deeply woven into Southern culture
• There is an extraordinary amount of raw musical talent
• Many gifted musicians want to do more—but aren’t sure how to take the next step

Along the way, I’ve also gained clarity about my own calling:

• I love helping musicians grow in confidence and unlock their potential
• I’m passionate about creating opportunities for artists to make professional-quality recordings—often for the first time
• Through workshops and clinics, I enjoy supporting music educators and inspiring students and ensembles to be their very best

I’m currently booking a limited number of openings for:

• Recording sessions / production
• Voice lessons / vocal coaching
• Beginning piano lessons
• Educational outreach & clinics (school choirs, bands, ensembles)

This Christmas season, I had the great pleasure of working with three talented young ladies on new studio recordings. For each of them, it was their very first time singing in a professional recording studio, and I had so much fun helping them bring these projects to life.

Over the years, I’ve been blessed to work with some incredible, seasoned professionals in the music business - and those experiences truly have a magic all their own. Still, there’s something uniquely special about helping new singers create a professional-quality recording they can be proud of.

We didn’t quite get everything released before Christmas, but I hope you’ll head over to your favorite streaming platform and give these songs a listen. I think you’ll be glad you did!

It’s beginning to look — and sound — a lot like Christmas at Jeff Smith Music Studio! 🎄🎶

I’ve had the joy of working on brand-new holiday recordings with Elcie, Kaydee, and Sophia. Believe it or not, this is the first time any of them have stepped into a recording studio — but you’d never know it. They learned fast, worked hard, and delivered beautiful performances.

It has been such a fun and rewarding process helping them bring these songs to life, and I can’t wait to share the finished tracks with you.
