🎺 Meet the Band: Married Brass Duo Feature
This month we’re highlighting a special corner of the band—because sometimes the best ensemble blend happens off the stage too. Tom and Theresa aren’t just colleagues in the brass section… they’re also married. So we’re featuring them together as a duo who share rehearsals, performances, and real life.

🎺 Meet the Band: Tom Geiger – Trumpet
Tom got his start in music the best way possible—cartoons and Rat Pack Christmas records. He picked up the trumpet in 4th grade and played through high school in Maryland and college in California before stepping away for a time to focus on school and work.
He found his way back to music in 2008 at a local community college and hasn’t put the horn down since. Tom has performed with the Los Angeles Symphonic Winds, including a performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall alongside his wife, Theresa. He’s especially drawn to music that pushes him and keeps him growing.
By day, Tom is an electrical engineer designing digital circuits for data center microchips—but he’s happiest when he’s got a horn in hand.
🎶 “Always up for a challenge and a good chart.”

🎺 Meet the Band: Theresa Odello – Bass Trombone
Theresa started piano at age five, but once she picked up the trombone in middle school, that was it—no turning back. She’s been performing in ensembles ever since, including the Los Angeles Symphonic Winds, with international tours spanning China, England, France, and beyond.
Today, she anchors the low end on bass trombone and regularly subs with groups around town. Outside of music, Theresa works for El Paso County Parks, where she helps manage nature centers, the County Fair, and programs that connect people to the outdoors and their community. She also enjoys hiking with her husband and two dogs, or experimenting with new home brews.
🎶 “Always chasing that perfect low note.”
