Get a double dose of clarinetist Jon Manasse when you listen to this Monday's Performance Today!

The second hour of the Aug. 31 show begins with the Brahms Clarinet Sonata No. 1 in F minor, Op. 120, No. 1: Mvt. 3, performed by Manasse and pianist Jon Nakamatsu from their album 'Brahms: Clarinet Sonatas.' It's followed by Schulhoff's Divertissement for Oboe, Clarinet, and Bassoon, performed in Packard Hall on June 19, 2025 by our Festival Artists: Elizabeth Koch Tiscione on oboe, Manasse, and Michael Kroth on bassoon.

Our June season finale was such a memorable night. From Ayano Ninomiya’s stunning work on Glazunov’s Violin Concerto … to Fellow assistant conductor Sam Wu conducting the Colorado premiere of his ‘Continental Express’ … to our Festival maestro Scott Yoo and the Festival orchestra captivating Celeste Theatre throughout an epic closer, Rimsky-Korsakov’s ‘Scheherazade,’ it was a perfect cap to an incredible summer.

We're thrilled to welcome Grace Hale back to campus for the premiere of her new chamber work "Colored Glass." Hear more about the piece and her journey as a composer since graduating from Colorado College in 2020.

The 28-year-old returns to her alma mater to premiere new music at this year’s Colorado College Summer Music Festival.
