Kopper Petals

Kopper Petals I started making these about 6 years ago. All copper is recycled and shaped by hand. No two flowers Good Day!

I started making metal flowers when I was in high school, all out of sheet metal. I would cut the flower petals out with a plasma cutter and use oxygen and acetylene to weld it all together. Lots of problems with using sheet metal was I needed a plasma cutter to cut them out. I had to heat up the metal to shape it into a rose or flower shape. Then copper came into the picture and the rest is history!! I loved how I was able to do most of the work by hand and did not need anything except the oxy acetylene welder to braze the copper together. Then I noticed how the color was always different when I cooled it down either by water or just letting it cool down slowly. It has been such an amazing skill to bring flowers to people who are allergic or just hate when you get a beautiful rose and have to watch it wilt. I also love the feeling when I get to make a flower for some lucky lady getting engaged or a newborn baby to remind them of that special moment in their life! I make mostly roses but I am able and willing to do and try any flower you want! Just let me know what you want me to make and if it is something I am having to make for the first time just give me about two weeks notice! Thanks and I hope to be hearing from you soon!!
