Flores de Mayo throwbacks!

Brought to Colorado Springs by Alicia Alano over 30 years ago, this event has been an integral part of the FACSC “Fil-Am” community. These clips, spanning from 1995 to 2008, capture the joy, tradition, and connection that have kept it going all these years.

At its heart, Flores de Mayo has always been about coming together, celebrating our culture, sharing it with others, and creating space for people to welcome others. This is an event for everyone, no matter your background, beliefs, or where you come from. Whether you’ve grown up with this tradition or are experiencing it for the first time, you’re invited to take part!

Traditions grow and evolve through the people who show up with kindness, respect, and a willingness to celebrate together. That’s what we hope to continue, keeping this tradition alive in a way that brings people together.

Here’s to many more years of honoring our roots, building community and making lasting memories!!

Flores De Mayo, a beloved Filipino tradition brought to Colorado Springs by Alicia Alano and her family in the 90s, her dedication and commitment to this event has allowed it to flourish year after year.

Everyone is welcome as we come together to celebrate the beauty of Filipino culture, tradition, and community. There will be delicious food, music, performances, and the rich traditions that make our culture so special.

Please!! Bring your family and friends, dress to impress, and be part of a tradition that continues to unite generations and communities!

Youth elections are here! May 30th, 2026. 🗳️ It’s hard to believe it’s already been 2 years, and what an incredible journey it’s been.

A huge thank you to our FACSC Youth officers for your leadership, time, and dedication. From planning events to building community, your work truly made an impact and created so many unforgettable moments. ❤️

We can’t wait to see what the next term brings! Show up to the Penrose house on May 30th, be present, and don’t be afraid to run for a position or cast your vote, your voice matters.🙌🏼
