Happy 3rd anniversary my sweet love! It’s feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago all at the same time that we said I do! My life with you is a dream come true. You are my favorite human and my very best friend. You’re who I want to tell all my stories to (and have started to repeat them), and who I want to take all my adventures with. This year has brought the adventure of parenthood and gosh, I can’t imagine doing this with anyone else. I love you so much! Let’s celebrate!

To my daddy, I’m so glad God chose you to be my daddy and Lewie’s Pops! Sometimes I think people might think when I’m singing snd making all the sounds at Lewie that I’m a little crazy... and then I see him with you and I’m like.... ohhhhh that’s where I get it from! Watching him be a daddy has been one of the best things I’ve ever experienced! He works so hard to provide for us, he loves so well and so deeply, and he makes this kid laugh lots! I can already see how obvious it is that Lewie loves his daddy lots and lots. L.J. had held maybe 3 babies before Lewie and always got really nervous. But when Lewie was born, he jumped right in! He held him right away, changed his first diaper, and regularly cares for him without question. He is selfless and thoughtful when it comes to his boy and his lady! We are by far the luckiest. I’m the most excited to see the bond between them only continue to grow! Happy first Father’s Day, my love!

This is Kim, and she’s simply a curly cutie! I am obsessed with her curl pattern! We of course connected because of our red hair! She doesn’t color it and I love how it is naturally beautiful! Fun fact: redheads keep the pigment of their hair longef than others. We also go white not gray! I’m a fan!

With everything that is happening in our country currently and for that matter has been happening I have taken some time to reflect on my own life and career. Discrimination due to someone’s race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation is not something I want any part of. As I have contemplated how I personally can be more inclusive, I started to realize I have no training in cutting naturally beautiful textured hair, specifically of those in our black communities. I reached out to owner Q, because she is a master, and asked if she would be willing to teach me the basics. She invited me into her salon space and gave me a one on one hands on class. Q is such a genuine person and created such an incredible space for me learn in. I was so thankful to learn what she taught, and I’m looking forward to building those skills. I want my chair to be a place where anyone can come sit, get a fresh haircut, enjoysome laughs, and leave feeling refreshed and beautiful! Thank you Q for the amazing class! I’m trying my best to do my part!
