I made a tribute to one of my heroes. She is not worthy of her inspiration, but I needed to do it, so I did. She is lovely, nevertheless, and I would be happy for her to find a home if anyone needs her.

Eeek! It is really scary for me to put this out there...an attempt to portray one of my heroes. I can't do her justice, but I wanted to try. So I am showing you my process: build her, then paint her with underglaze colors. Next she will be bisque fired, glazed, then fired again. Then I'll add gold luster (gotta have the bling!) and fire her a third time and she'll be done. Wish us luck!

We have skunks in our yard. We rarely see them because they come out after we're asleep, but we smell them sometimes. But once I tried to call one to come inside because I mistook him for my cat!

I'm not crazy about crowds or heights, but I do love hot air balloons! This year's is the 50th anniversary of Colorado Springs' balloon festival, and this little old lady is going for a ride!
