This is such a nice compliment 🫶 I say it all the time, but I LOVE Rip and I am so so proud of him!!

Is it just me, or does anyone else get frustrated when stallion owners only send one dose of semen?

I know every stallion program is different, and I understand there can be reasons behind it, but I have a hard time believing every stallion is so booked up that two doses are never an option. Two doses can make such a big difference for mare owners. It gives you a little more flexibility, especially when mares do what mares do and don’t follow the perfect plan.

Getting mares bred can be stressful and difficult enough as it is. When a stallion owner sends two good doses, it really feels like they are trying to help set the mare owner up for a win.

Whatta Slick Guy sent two amazing doses of semen, and I cannot tell you how much I appreciated that. It opened up so many options for me and took a lot of pressure off the timing.

I really appreciate the stallion owners who do that.

What are your thoughts? When stallion owners send two doses, do you appreciate it more? Or do you think one dose is fair and just part of the breeding process?
