Here it is, Poe Fans! Details on our upcoming event: "Edgar A. Poe: The Man, The Myth, The Legend"
October 27th, 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Collings-Knight Homestead.
How much do you REALLY know about Edgar Allan Poe?

Our lecture will explore the myths, legends, and utter lies surrounding Poe's career, his personal life, and his death. We will also attempt to answer the greatest question of all: why do we continue to believe the lies?

Sponsored by the Collings-Knight Homestead, the lecture will be given by the writer/ producer/ director of "Shades of Poe" (and long-time Poe researcher) Patty Verzella.
Each of the 3 sections of the lecture will be about 30 minutes, with time in between each for questions and light refreshments.

Tickets to this event are free for members of the Friends of the Collings-Knight House. For non-members, we are asking for a donation, sort of a "pay what you wish", so that we can continue to bring you wonderful educational programs like this one.
Due to the limited space, we ask that you reserve your seats in advance. Ticket reservations will be available at our usual ticket provider, Brown Paper Tickets, within the next day or so (our event still needs to be approved!)

If the event sells out and there is demand for more seats, we will open a second time slot.

Hello, Poe fans! It’s September, and normally we’d be gearing up for another great year. However, after much consideration, we’re giving “Shades of Poe” a little rest. We’ll miss you this year, but we’ll be back in 2019 stronger, better, and spookier! 👻
If you still need a Poe fix, we will be hosting a lecture on the myths and legends surrounding Poe’s life, career, and death. More on that event will be posted as it becomes available! 🎃

What a great opening! We've had some wonderful audiences so far. A bit of internet shenanigans has been brought to my attention, so i wanted to make this announcement:

To anyone who found us on Philly .com and tried calling the number they provided... that's not our number! We have no idea where they got that number. We're very sorry for the inconvenience both to you and to the poor individual who started getting phone calls inquiring about our show (but thank you for alerting us to the issue!!) We only know of one instance so far where the wrong number was called but if there are more, we do apologize. Changes have been submitted!
