At the 2026 Texas Educational Theatre Association Annual Convention, Mr. Rod wrapped up his term on the board of directors—and immediately stepped into an exciting new role!

He was nominated and elected as the Chair-Elect for the K-12 committee, which represents the heart of the organization: our K-12 theatre teachers.

A theatre teacher once changed Mr. Rod’s life, and through his continued service, he hopes to empower educators to do the exact same for their students.
