Howdy! Audition info for Student New Works is below!

November 8th in LAAH 110. Doors open at 5:45, auditions start at 6:00 and will end at 8:00. If you have a conflict but still want to be involved, let us know as soon as possible ([email protected]).

Student New Works will go up for one weekend in early February. Exact dates TBD.

At auditions, there will be a sign-in table. We’ll check for your name and confirm the shows you are interested in.

Small groups will be called into the audition room based on the show they’re interested in. One show will audition at a time.

You can audition for as many shows as you’d like, however you can only be cast in one show.

Please come prepared with a slate (Hello, my name is (first)(last)). You do not need to have a memorized monologue and will be provided material from the show to read. We will not ask you to cold read--you’ll have some time to prepare.

Fall of 2020 saw the return of Student New Works! We were thrilled to bring back this celebration of student creativity--even if it was on zoom. Can't wait to see what new works will be performed at the next one!

In Fall of 2019, intrepid pioneers set off down "The Trail to Oregon!" Through cast changes, a pandemic, and outdoor rehearsals, this team managed to arrive at two LAAH Courtyard performances and one show at the Palace in Downtown, Bryan in Spring 2021.

Kicking off our retrospective with our Spring 2019 play, "Clockwise", written and directed by Cheyene Martinez.
