Who’s ready for a great night of comedy? Chris Tabb is coming back to Coös Brewing Company on Saturday, September 19th. He will be joined by fellow comedian Carolyn Plummer. Tickets are $25 and include a pizza buffet. Doors open at 6:00 pm.

If you have ever worked on a big event you know how much work gets done by volunteers. Without the hard work of all the volunteers involved with the Moose Festival, both behind the scenes and right in the thick of it, we couldn’t get nearly as much done to make the event as great as it is. We want all of you to know that we are so appreciative of everything you did to help us pull off a successful festival this year. THANK YOU!

*SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY* GNWR ATV is hosting our 5th Annual Charity Poker Run! Aside from an awesome ride through our trail system, we will have prizes and raffles! Stop 3 is a one shot game of co****le for your chance at a co****le board set! Maple Syrup Tasting is hands down the sweetest part of the Moose Festival. This year Mark Isselhardt, UVM Extension’s Maple Specialist, was gracious enough to spend his day driving to Canaan to be our contest judge. As much as we hate to admit it, the results are buried in the supplies and leftovers we hauled back to the office after Saturday’s festivities ended. As soon as we dig it up we will update the post. Until then- here is what we know for sure:

Over 500 trees-
Golden- Buckwheat Hill Farm
Medium- April's Maple
Dark- April’s Maple
Very Dark- Chapple Maple Products
Best in Show- April’s Maple
People’s Choice- Moose Hill Sugar House

Under 500 trees-
Very Dark- Canaan Schools, Diversified Agriculture

The Car Cruise parade and Car Show were fantastic this year! Pat and Molly Carr did a great job on their first year at the helm. We look forward to coming years and seeing what they will bring to this event. Results are attached along with photos of many of the participating cars and trucks. Many thanks to Pat and Molly, and all the folks that helped them with the show, and to all the sponsors who made the car show possible.
