Turtle Underground Turtle Underground is the music venue for Saint Michael's College.

It features music of all genres free of charge highlighting artists from Saint Michael's College, the Greater Burlington Area, and all over the New England region.

Hello Everyone!
As we get ready to return to campus this weekend, there are some notable changes coming to Turtle. Although we are excited to be returning to campus, the safety guidelines implemented are expected to be followed and will be strictly enforced. We have provided a list of those and encourage everyone to review them.

1. CDC guidelines, and the staff of the music department of Saint Mikes, have implemented a rule that singing indoors will be permitted if there is at least 15 feet between the singer and everyone else.

2. All band members must wear a mask when practicing, maintain social distancing, and the singer must follow the 15-foot distance which should be possible in Eddie’s Lounge.

3. There will be no Turtle-sponsored events indoors.

4. Equipment must be cleaned after each use and there will be a sign in sheet in the practice room to show who practiced when and what equipment was used.

5. Cloth covering for microphones will also be provided to ensure further safety with shared equipment.

6. Only bands consisting of students from Saint Michael’s campus will be permitted to practice and there will be no guests or off-campus musicians allowed.

We will work with the school to figure out how we can further provide students with the space to grow and work together in a creative, musical setting.

- 2020 Turtle Underground Update -
Turtle underground is coming back into the new year and new semester strong with an ambitious new location and schedule. We have decided as a club to move toward greater consistency by having an event every Friday night this semester featuring on-campus, local, and touring bands.

We also have been working to find an adequate and permanent location for our residence. Currently, most of our events for this semester will be in Alumni Basement or at International Commons. (This includes all events like open-mics and student showcases). Hopefully, by mid-semester, we will solidify one single location. We will be doing an Open-Mic every first Friday of the month before our showcases, as well.

If you or a person you know are a student at St Micheals who is interested in starting a band or playing music with some of your peers, or if you have the people but no location to practice, or gear to start up with, then look no further. Turtle Underground is your means to achieve this in your college career. Message this Page, Ronnie Russell or Jocelyn Mailloux to inquire for more information and getting access to the practice space.
