So we sat down with City Manager: Ben Brubaker a few months ago at our establishment and shared with him our vision of having outdoor seating for our customers. Look what he helped us do! So excited for the possibilities this can bring to our downtown.

From the Community Development Team — Big news for Coffeyville!

We’ve officially updated our Outdoor and Sidewalk Dining Ordinance to support vibrant, safe, and welcoming outdoor spaces for our local businesses and downtown visitors.

Here’s what’s new:
• Parklets are now allowed! Businesses can convert up to three parking stalls into seasonal outdoor dining spaces (April 1–Oct. 31).
• Simplified process. We removed the engineering design requirement to make participation easier and more affordable.
• New design standards. Updated rules ensure high-quality, safe, and attractive outdoor dining areas—consistent fencing, commercial-grade furniture, and clear pedestrian paths.
• Clear operating guidelines. Sidewalk dining can operate year-round, and parklet dining is seasonal.

Progress on the ADA compliant restroom lavatory counter tops is proceeding smoothly. Efforts are ongoing to open this location to the community in the near future.
