Join us for a special Bag and B**b Babes Sew Day on Saturday, June 20, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Mica Flats Grange.
Sheila Wayman, Director of the local Bag & B**b Babes Northwest chapter, will lead us in this community service project creating therapeutic drain bag aprons, small pillows, and chemo caps for women recovering from mastectomy surgery.
With your help, we hope to assemble dozens of comfort kits that will provide support and encouragement during a difficult time.
If you enjoy sewing, a few sewing machines will be available, but please bring your own machine if possible. If you do not care for sewing, there are plenty of other ways to help, including stuffing pillows, pressing fabric, assembling kits, packaging items, and more. Lunch will be provided by the Mica Flats Grange.
Whether you can stay all day or just part of the time, your help will make a meaningful difference in the lives of local women. We hope you'll join us for this rewarding day of service and camaraderie.
