Oct 17, 2026 looks like real fiber fun!

Spend the day in Hindman- Sheep Saturday! A day of art and music all within walking distance!

We're so excited about this collaborative event taking place October 17th. We are partnering with Hindman Settlement School, Berea College Student Craft, Southeast Kentucky Sheep Producers Association and Stillwater band to bring a day of art, music, and food that you do not want to miss!

1PM - 3PM @ AAC | Intro to Spinning Wool on the Drop Spindle

3PM - 5PM @ AAC | Berea Student Craft Fiber Art Exhibit Opening

5PM | Doors Open at Hindman Settlement School

6PM - 8PM @ HSS | Bluegrass Concert Ft. Stillwater Band & appetizers including lamb provided by SEKSPA.

Common Threads is our weekly sewing gathering with Louise Murtaugh, where everyone is invited to come together to create, learn, share, and connect. Whether you’ve been sewing for years or have never picked up a needle and thread, there’s a place for you at the table!

Every Tuesday • Two time options: 2:30 PM or 5:30 PM

Each week will be a chance to learn new skills, work on projects, share what you know, enjoy good conversation, and spend time together.

During the pitch competition last night, I had the chance to share why this shop matters—not just as a business, but as a place where people come to create, connect, and sometimes even find a little piece of themselves again.

I’m so grateful to Avante and the Dickenson County EDA for this opportunity through the CBL Grant, and to everyone who has supported this journey so far.

I’m so excited to keep growing and bringing you more classes, more supplies, and more opportunities to create together.
