What does Cowboy GRIT do?
Scholarships for Cody-Kilgore graduating seniors and alumni
2023 and 2024: Raised funds for the new elementary school building
2025: Contributed toward the new elementary playground
2026: Purchased bleachers for the football field

Also in 2026, we established the Cowboy GRIT “True Grit” award to honor those members of our communities who display real grit and perseverance. The 1st ever recipient of this award went to the 2025/2026 Cody-Kilgore Cowgirl basketball team!

2026/2027 Goals: Establish a grant program for the communities served by our school district, including Kilgore, Cody, Crookston & Merriman, so those villages, fire departments or other community related organizations can apply for funding for projects or purchases
