This grant is part of an incredible initiative that has awarded $493,500 to 20 cultural dance organizations across California. Together, we’re preserving and advancing the rich traditions that define our communities.

🌟 Grantee Spotlight: Círculo Azteca Citlaltonac Indigenous Culture Center 🌟

Through the at Inland Empire Community Foundation, organizations across the region continue to preserve culture, strengthen community spaces, and support the next generation.

Círculo Azteca Citlaltonac Indigenous Culture Center (Danza Azteca Citlaltonac) is rooted in preserving Aztec and Indigenous traditions through ceremony, education, and community gathering. A recent CIELO Fund grant helped sustain and expand their work into 2026 and beyond. ❤️

“As both a cultural center and a community space, we focus on keeping our doors open for the community and other organizations that need a place to gather and share resources,” shared Gabriela Yaocihuatl Armenta, Executive Director, Founder, and Cultural Bearer.

For more than 15 years, the center has hosted ceremonial danzas, talking circles, cultural education, and intertribal gatherings that invite community members to reconnect with identity, tradition, and healing practices passed down through generations. 🪘👐

The organization also supports student success through an annual scholarship fund for high school seniors and undergraduates, supported by community fundraising and donations.

CIELO Fund invests in organizations like Círculo Azteca Citlaltonac that preserve culture, expand access, and strengthen community across the Inland Empire.
