A little tour of Tiny Disciples before a brand new year begins. 🤍
Every year, I look around this studio and ask myself one question: How can this space serve your children even better?
This year, some of the changes might seem small—but there is so much heart behind them.
For the first time in 8 years of Tiny Disciples, I was able to purchase brand new tables for the studio. And I didn’t just want new tables. I wanted tables that helped every child feel like they belonged here.
So now there are three different table heights in our art area—from little ones who are just beginning to walk all the way through our 12-year-old creators. A place that actually fits them.
You’ll also notice warmer lighting throughout the studio. After some professional development and learning more about how lighting can support children as they play, create and regulate their emotions, I’m beginning to rely less on the bright fluorescent lights and create a softer, calmer feeling throughout the space.
And there are mirrors tucked into several areas now—not just for looking at yourself, but to give children a unique new perspective as they build, create and explore.
There are lots of little changes throughout the studio this year. Some you’ll notice right away. Others your child may discover before you do.
But behind every single one is the same heart that has been here for the past 8 years:
Creating a space where your child can come exactly as they are, feel like they belong, and have the freedom to create, play and experience true joy.
